October 2025 Weedsport Student-Athletes of the Month

Varsity Football: Ethan Curry

Ethan has been a starter at center and has done a great job all season. Our offense has many moving parts and intricate elements that only can happen if the center snap is on time and on target. Ethan has done a great job anchoring our offensive line and initiating offense on every play. He has contributed to an offensive line that rushed the ball for an average of 280 yards per game!
Varsity Volleyball: Megan House

Megan led the team to a 7-0 record in the month of October and also became the first volleyball player in Weedsport history to join the 1000 Club with her 1,000th assist coming at home in a win against Skaneateles. In that same match, she broke her own school record for assists in a single match with 47. Megan also leads all of Section 3 with a total of 77 aces on the season.
Varsity Field Hockey: Nadia Golden

Nadia had a 90+ average in classes in the first 5 weeks of school this year. On the hockey field, she is an anchor at the center back position. She does a fantastic job of reading the opposition’s long passes and intercepting them. Nadia is also tenacious in one-to-one battles for the ball. In addition, Nadia is our back up on offensive corners and our trailer on defensive corners. She has not missed a single practice and is usually among the first to be ready for practice each day.
Boys’ Cross Country: Maddox Kime

Maddox performed consistently well throughout the season. His competitive nature that he can tap into that will help him improve in the next couple of years. I look forward to seeing him develop into one of the leaders of the program.
Girls’ Cross Country: Anna Lafler

Anna has been the leader of the girls team all season as she fought hard to improve her PR this year. She put in the work at home and at practice to heal from previous injuries and learn how to develop her strategies as a runner.
