Weedsport Band Members Celebrate NYS Field Band Championship Win
We are incredibly proud of Abigail Szakalski and Jeremiah Lasher who have been performing with the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band this season. Since July, they have worked hard through long rehearsals and performances, showing amazing dedication and growth as musicians.
All of that effort paid off — the Jordan-Elbridge Marching Band earned 1st place out of 9 teams. Eight from across New York State and one team from New Jersey at the NYS Field Band Championships at the JMA Dome on Sunday!
This has been a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow, learn, and perform at a high level. We’re so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and how much they’ve developed since the start of the season.
A big thank you and congratulations to Dan English and the entire Jordan-Elbridge staff for preparing the students and leading the group to this outstanding achievement. We are so happy that they had this opportunity thanks to the leadership core at Jordan-Elbridge as well as the administration for both schools to make this all possible.
