As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 school year, Weedsport Central School District will again be offering full-day pre-kindergarten and kindergarten.
We are looking to put together a list of students who will be entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten next school year. Families are asked to fill out the intent form found at this link. The form is also found at the bottom of this page. This is not registration. The official registration packet will come out sometime in March 2024. At this point we are compiling a list to help with planning for the next school year.
To enter pre-kindergarten, a child must turn 4 on or before December 1, 2024 and to enter kindergarten a child must turn 5 on or before December 1, 2024. Please respond by March 15, 2024.
Please feel free to forward the form link to any family or friends that live in the Weedsport School District and have a child who can attend pre-kindergarten or kindergarten next year.
Weedsport 4-year old pre-kindergarten program information and registration timeline
The Weedsport Central School District will offer a 4-year old full day pre-kindergarten program, 5 days a week. School transportation is available to all students within the district.
Students must be 4 years old by December 1 of the enrolled school year for the program. Students who are age eligible for kindergarten cannot be admitted into the pre-kindergarten program.

March 15, 2024 Intent forms close and registration begins
Registration packets will be sent to those who submitted an intent to register. Please call the office after March 15, 2024 to inquire about available spots for the 2024-2025 school year.
April 30, May 2 and May 8 2024 Pre-Kindergarten Screening
You and your child will be scheduled to come to the elementary school for one of the above screening dates. Your scheduled date and time will be included in your registration packet.

LOTTERY FOR ENROLLMENT (ONLY IF NECESSARY)
Only 36 total students can be accepted into the Pre-Kindergarten program each year (18 in each class). If enrollment is above 36 students ALL students registered are subject to enter a lottery to secure a spot in the program. In the event siblings are included in the lottery, if one sibling is drawn the other(s) are automatically accepted pending availability. Parents will be notified upon formal registration in March if this seems like a possibility based on submitted intent forms.
Kindergarten screening and registration will be May 7th , 9th and the 15th if needed.
