Weedsport Central Junior/Senior High Music Program Celebrates Stellar Year with All-County, All-State Honors and Growing Ensembles

The Weedsport Central School District music program is proud to announce a year of exceptional achievements by its talented student musicians and singers. From impressive All-County selections to students reaching the prestigious Area All-State level, the program continues to flourish.

All-County Accolades

  • Jr. High All-County Band: Toby Kintzele, Sarah Platten, Jeremiah Lasher, Maddox Kime, Leah Barnhart, Matthias Crytzer-Shurant

Area All-State Honors

Seven outstanding students achieved the remarkable distinction of Area All-State:

  • Jr. High Area All-State Band: Maddox Kime, River Hahn
  • Senior High Area All-State Band: Lilly Kime
  • Senior High Area All-State Choirs: Adrihanna Collins, Jasmine Nguyen, Nolan Carner, Ivy Miller

Additional Program Highlights

  • Students participated in the CCC Musical Theatre Workshop.
  • A recent tour of Subcat Studios in Syracuse provided valuable insights for aspiring musicians.
  • The district successfully hosted an All-County festival.
  • Numerous students achieved top scores at NYSSMA solo festivals in Auburn, ESM, and the locally hosted CCMEA event.

Looking Ahead: A Program on the Rise

The Weedsport Central School District music program is experiencing a significant resurgence. Ensembles are growing in size, and students demonstrate a remarkable commitment to honing their musical skills. The future looks bright as the program continues its upward trajectory.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication and achievements of our student musicians and we are excited to share the fruits of their hard work during the final performances of the year – the parade on June 7th and graduation on June 28th.
