Several Weedsport students have their artwork on display in a local exhibit titled “Student Art – Naturally” at Beaver Lake Nature Center. The exhibit, sponsored by Region 3 of the NYS Art Teachers Association, showcases local students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Each piece has a nature theme.
The Weedsport students who have artwork included are:
- Valerie Killeen, Kindergarten
- Ekene Njoku, Kindergarten
- Lily Reynolds, Kindergarten
- Ella Simon, 2nd Grade
- Liam Henderson, 4th Grade
- Kelly Mehlenbacher, 4th Grade
- Callie Cook, 5th Grade
- Dominic Hopkins, 5th Grade
The work will be on display at Beaver Lake Nature Center from April 1 through May 1, 2022. The students will also be recognized during an informal Artists’ Reception on Sunday, May 1 from 1-2 p.m., where they will receive a certificate and ribbon to honor their participation.
