Students had the opportunity to learn more about science and math over the summer at a week-long STEM and robotics camp at Weedsport Elementary.

There were 25 students who signed up to participate. They got hands-onStudents work on their math and science skills during STEM camp at Weedsport Elementary experience, completing STEM challenges with Mrs. Aylward like making water slides, creating solar ovens to cook s’mores, and engineering a catapult to launch water balloons.

Students also learned to program a robot named Edison. They coded Edison to successfully push a soccer ball into a goal and to travel a designated distance to make a delivery to Mrs. Mabbett. One of the highlights of using Edison was having him compete in Sumo Wrestling with other robots.
