October sports update: Number of sports spectators limited; other guidelines in place for fall season

After all the uncertainty surrounding fall sports, Weedsport district leaders are grateful to have interscholastic sports this year. But it comes with a few trade-offs.

Unlike previous years, spectators will not be able to show up at games and watch without a pass. The New York State Department of Health has mandated that school districts must limit sporting contest spectators to no more than two per player.

The district has worked to grant each student athlete, two OSHL spectator pass cards for the event that they play in. To ensure the safety of all spectators, the cards must be shown at all home and away events. Tickets are also transferable.

Additionally, the two tickets are only good for the sport your student athlete is participating in.

Other details to know include:

  • Families that live in the same household are welcome to sit together.
  • For home games, please wear a mask while entering the contest. Once you are seated, you may remove your mask.
