Behind the scenes with the Elementary Student Government Organization

Weedsport Elementary students celebrate 100 days of school

Students across all grade levels celebrated the 100th day of school on Valentine’s Day! In kindergarten classrooms, students practiced counting to 100. They brought in items from home, such as pieces of cereal or cotton swabs, and counted them once they arrived in their classrooms. In second grade, students wrote out 100 words. See photos …

Walking track reopens to the public

The Weedsport walking track is back open for community use. The track is located at the Elementary School. Masks are required for all, regardless of vaccination status.  The track will be open Monday-Friday from 6-8 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. (if no school game is being played).

Weedsport no longer designated as having fiscal stress

Due to careful budgeting practices, the Weedsport Central School District is no longer labeled as having fiscal stress. According to the latest audit by the office of New York State Comptroller Thomas P.
