GOLDEN PASS
The Board of Education has approved and adopted a Board of Education policy relating to the issuance of honorary passes. It was the intent of the Board of Education to issue honorary passes as a token of recognition for the support and contributions made to the Weedsport Central School District by people living within our District and other persons so designated by the Board of Education. It is the intent that these passes will encourage valued community members to attend athletics events and are issued as tokens of good will.
A GOLDEN PASS will be issued to any senior citizen who is 65 years of age and is a bonafide resident of the Weedsport Central School District. This pass would be permanent so long as the recipient is a resident of the district.
Please understand that the following limitations apply to the use of the GOLDEN PASS and these are shared in an effort to inform those interested fully of the program’s parameters.
a) Passes are valid only for school sponsored activities within the Weedsport Central School District and not Section III contests.
b) Passes are not transferable and may be revoked by the Board of Education if misused.
If a qualified resident would like to seek approval for the issuance of a GOLDEN PASS to attend school sponsored athletics events at which admission is charged, please begin the approval process by calling Linda Simmons at 834-6637 and then providing the following information:
- FIRST and LAST NAME
- AGE and DATE of BIRTH
- HOME ADDRESS
- MAILING ADDRESS
Once eligibility is confirmed, please expect the GOLDEN PASS to be mailed to the requestor. As always, we look forward to our community members’ continued support of our student-athletes as they compete in their interscholastic contests.
