Through the woodworking craftsmanship of community resident Keith O’Bryan and the generosity of the Class of 2006, the school district now has a worthy location of hanging the plaques that honor the Weedsport Graduates of Distinction. The display cases, located near the District Office, were refurbished recently and will now house the plaques of the past and future honorees. For those of you who may be unaware, the Weedsport Graduates of Distinction program is an alumni recognition program which honors Weedsport Central School District graduates for lifetime achievement and who are/were exemplary citizens having distinguished themselves through their communities, professions, or careers. The nomination process for this year is underway presently and it is expected that all nomination packets will be submitted by March 1, 2009 for consideration this year.
