Parent Representatives

Parents of students with disabilities serve a special and important role on the Committee of Special Education.  As a mandated member, they provide support to the family whose child is being reviewed . If you are interested in volunteering as a parent representative, please call the Special Programs Office at 834-6752.

SET/PPST

The Student Evaluation Team (SET) at the elementary school and the Pupil Personnel Service Team (PPST) at the middle/high school exist for the purpose of reviewing students when concerns exist regarding academic performance or behavior.  The teams meet at least once monthly and develop plans for remediation of the situation.  Whenever possible, it is expected that a child will be reviewed by this team before a referral to the Committee on Special Education is made.
