A five member Board of Education is elected by the residents of the Weedsport Central School District for five-year terms. The Board of Education is responsible for policies and regulations governing public education in the district. Each board member serves without pay. The Superintendent of Schools is the Chief Executive Officer of the Board.

Board meetings are open to the public and are typically held on the first Monday after the first Friday of the month and then two weeks after that on a Monday. Special meetings are held on occasion, as needed. The meetings usually begin at 7:30 p.m.
